John Fick is a UW-Platteville mechanical engineering alumnus (’03). Since then he has worked as a new product development engineer with industry leaders in fire apparatus and gas mask. Over the past five years he has worked in different areas with UW-Platteville, helping to start the sponsored projects program and assisting inventors with ideas with the UW-Fox Valley Center for Device Design and Development (3DC). His wife, 91Âþ»­. Jessica Fick, works in the mechanical engineering department teaching Senior Design. In his free time, he enjoys climbing trees, helping as a volunteer firefighter in Dodgeville, and chasing his three-year old son.
